We are a fully registered approved NICEIC Domestic installer, with £10 million public liability insurance, CIS6 Certification & VAT registered.

Offering a wide range of electrical services, including domestic, commercial, and industrial works. We have completed full rewires of schools and factories, as well as thousands of full domestic house rewires.

History of the Company

1995

On first coming to England from Northern Ireland in 1995, Christopher Barry Tohill worked as a self employed electrician carrying out rewiring projects for various London based electrical contractors. He worked on local authority housing stock for the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Enfield, Havering and Newham.

As his reputation grew he was able to expand his business, under the name C Oliveria Builders Ltd. This was later renamed to CBT Electrical Ltd. in 2003.

2004

By 2004 CBT Electrical had increased in size and was getting accepted onto the approved lists of various local authorities within Greater London and home counties.

2006

The company size grew significantly in a relatively short period of time, with an increasing amount of fully qualified electrical engineers, apprentices and office staff. Turnover had increased by over 400% within a couple of years.

Soon came Gold Level accreditation with Exor Management Services Ltd. and acceptance onto Construction Line's approved contractors list.

2007

In august 2007, CBT Electrical moved to a new location, with a large store area and office environment.

2009

In 2009, CBT expanded further by hiring additional office staff, increased the size of it's vehical fleet and started a restructuring scheme in the aim of creating a larger, more efficient company.

2010

CBT is awarded large contracts with building contractors and continues to expand even after the tough economic climate.
